Short Link:
Al Mezan's field workers reported that, according to Amal Hamad, on Sunday 16 August 2009, the Gaza Government security did not notice Amal Hamad, a recently elected member of Fatah Movement's Revolutionary Council, when she passed their 'Customs Checkpoint' near Erez border crossing.
However, security members followed her to the next point, called 5/5 near Erez, where travelers wait until the civil affairs office coordinate their passage through Erez.
At approximately 9:15am security members asked Amal to accompany them from that point back to Gaza.
They detained her at their office near the Customs Checkpoint for approximately two hours.
They released her after the informed her that the Gaza Government has banned her from traveling.
