On Saturday evening, 15 October 2022, the Palestinian police announced the death of Saliba Khalil Mousa Abu Nseira, 64, a resident of Gaza City, after being stabbed in his chest. Police arrested the perpetrator, and preliminary investigations indicate that the murder occurred against the backdrop of a financial dispute.
The forensic department at the Palestinian Ministry of Health informed Al Mezan that the cause of Abu Nseira’s death was multiple stab wounds to the chest, one of which penetrated his heart. According to Al Mezan’s field information, the deceased was the owner of a popular restaurant where the incident occurred.
Al Mezan deplores the tragic loss of life and calls on competent authorities—first and foremost the Public Prosecution—to swiftly open an investigation into the incident, bring those involved in the killing to justice, and take all necessary measures to ensure non-repetition of such crimes.
