At around 14:40 on Wednesday, 12 November 2008, a mortar shell fell in the middle of an olive field in al-Salqa valley by mistake. Islam Abu Maghaseeb, 16, suffered shrapnel to the right hand while she was helping her relatives pick olives. She was transported to Shuhada al-Aqsa in Deir el-Balah. She suffers moderate injuries, according to medical resources.
