Short Link:
A moneychanger has been killed at the hands of unknown individuals in Khanyounis, south of the Gaza Strip.
In the same context, a pharmacist has also been wounded as a result of an attack with sharp weapon in the north of the Gaza Strip.
According to Palestinian police, theft was the motive of the assailants in both incidents.
According to Al Mezan’s sources, the victim named Amin Ali Shurrab, 64, was admitted at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis at around 11:30 pm on Thursday, 30th May 2013.
While working alone in his money exchange shop, Shurrab, a resident of Khan Younis, was attacked with a sharp weapon which resulted in different wounds and bruises in his chest.
Medical sources at Nasser Hospital said that Shurrab had lost his life before he arrived at the hospital.
As Shurrab didn’t come back home in time on that day, a number of his family members went to his shop in the middle of Khan Younis City and were shocked to see him in the middle of his blood, lying on the ground.
Shurrab’s family called the police which immediately arrived at the scene and started investigating the incident.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, 30 May 2013, at around 10:30 am, pharmacist Ali Diyaab Al-Habeel, 48, was stabbed with a sharp weapon as the assailant tried to steal him in his pharmacy.
He ran away but was later arrested by the police with the help of locals.
He was admitted at Al-Shifaa hospital where medical sources described his condition as critical.

Moreover, it calls on the government to deal firmly with such acts which threaten the security of individuals and result in the loss of innocent lives.
