At approximately 10:00 am on Saturday 3 March 2012, medical sources at Abu Yousif An-Najjar Hospital announced the death of Tha’er Abdel Hameed Hamdan Madi, 21, after he fell down a tunnel shaft while he was working on the Gaza-Egypt border, near the As-Salam neighborhood of southern Rafah.
