At 6:30a.m. on Friday, 11 August 2017, Israeli warfare ships opened fire at Palestinian fishermen while sailing in Al-Waha area, in the north-west to Beit Lahia city in the North Gaza Governorate. Israeli naval forces detained two fishermen while on their ships: Saddam Abdelbari Al-Sultan, 22, and Oday Abdelbari Al-Sultan, 22, who both are residents of Beit Lahia. They were 300 meter away from the coast and near the northern borders when they were detained and their ships confiscated. They were released at 15:00 of the same day.
