At approximately 9:00 pm on Wednesday, 13 July 2016, an armed man riding a motorcycle and accompanied by another man, opened fire at at Suliman Attallah Salem Odwan, 25, while he was setting in front of his house in Al Saudi housing in Tal El-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah. As a result, Suliman sustained two bullets wounds, one was superficial and the other was in his left leg. He was fainted. He was then admitted to Abu Yousif Al Najjar Hospital to receive treatment. Medical sources described his injury as moderate. Odwan stated that he knows the perpetrator and the incident was on the background of killing his cousin in 2014.
