At approximately 10:50 am on Sunday 8 April 2012, police and medical teams, following notification by local residents, found the body of Ahmed Gaddafi Mustafa Tanbourah (12 years old at the time of death) in an under-construction house near Abu Ja’far School in Beit Lahiya, North Gaza district.
According to medical sources, the body had begun to decompose and was transferred to Ash-Shifa Hospital for forensic examination.
According to the police, local residents informed them that there was a body emitting a foul smell in the area.
The corpse had been covered with stones, and police sources report that there are criminal suspicions.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the child went missing on 26 February 2012.
The father informed the police of his son’s disappearance, and an investigation was opened.
On 12 April 2012, the police arrested two suspected persons for interrogation.
