At approximately 9:15a.m on Sunday 24 July 2011, Shuhadaa Al Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al Balah City announced the death of Fatima Ahmed Hassan Al Msader, 18.According to the information available to Al Mezan, Fatima’s family had fired in the air in celebration of their daughters’ successful results in high school exams. As a result, Fatima sustained an injury from a bullet in the neck which caused her death. Her body was inferred to Shifa Hospital to be subjected to forensic operation. The police initiated an investigation into the incident. Fatima was a student in Sakina Bint Al Hussein High School and lived in a family of seven in Al Msader village in middle Gaza district.
