At approximately 1pm on Saturday 14 November 2009, the Gaza Government police received a report about a decayed dead body of an old woman that was left inside her house near Khalid Bin Al-Waleed Mosque in Abu Libda neighborhood eastern Khan Younis.
A police force arrived at the scene of the crime and investigated the accident.
The police found the decayed dead body of Kristan Salama Salem Barbakh, 72, on the floor of her house and a rope around her neck.
According to police sources, the victim had been killed approximately 72 hours before the crime was revealed.
According to leading evidence, the accident took place during a robbery.
The victim lived alone in her house.
