Clashes result in 26 persons injured and damage to school building and two ambulances

Clashes erupted between a number of high school students and residents in Jabalia town.
The Ministry of Interior's executive force intervened to halt the feud, however clashes spread to Jabalia and Beit Hanoun residents and later between Hamas and Fatah supporters; the clahes resulted in 26 persons injured, two of whom are in critical condition.
According to Al Mezan fieldworkers, on June 11th a group of students who were taking their final Secondary School Exam in Beit Hanoun protested against being placed in Jabalia School for girls located opposite Palestine Bank in Jabalia and demanded to be transferred the following day back to Hayel Abdel Hamid School in Beit Hanoun.
The students found out that they are to stay in Jabalia today.
Gunfire broke out during the clash which lasted until 3pm; people and backup forces besieged the students inside the schoolyard which resulted in damage to the building.
Ambulances were denied access to the wounded, medical staff was assaulted and rear ambulance windows were smashed.
