15am on 11 November 2007, a dispute erupted between students in Abdul Khader Secondary school in Khan Younis town, during the commemoration of the 3rd anniversary of the death of the President Arafat.
The dispute developed when police members intervened to resolve it, as they beat student in an attempt to disperse them, and assaulted two teachers; Muhammad Atiya Affana, 36, and Juma'a Salama, 27.
A number of students sustained severe bruises as a result.
