Short Link:
On Saturday, 1 November 2008, at around 17:00, Gaza police banned Fateh movement and Shuhada al-Aqsa Brigades from holding a celebration marking the 4th anniversary in memory of Hassan al-Madhoun at al-Fakhoura square to the west of Jabalia refugee camp.
It is noteworthy that police approved the event but later called the event coordinator to tell him about its disapproval.
That was after Fateh movement had called its members and supporters via its websites to go to the event place.
Police forces were deployed at the place before the event starts and banned a number of Fateh members and supporters from reaching the place.
Police arrested the head of Shuhada al-Aqsa Brigades and then released him after a few hours.
Eventually the event was not organized.
