At approximately 8:00 pm on Sunday, 12 February 2017, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested Mohammed Farouq Sha’ban Murtaja, 38, resident of Al Nasser neighborhood in Gaza city. Murtaja works at the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Palestine. He was arrested while he was at Erez crossing and then he was taken to one of the Israeli interrogation centers. According to Al Mezan’s field investigation, Murtaja was on his way to the West Bank to follow up some projects for (TIKA), but IOF arrested him. The reason behind his arrest is still unknown.
