At approximately 7am on Saturday 30 April 2011,Israeli infantry troops arrested Khalid Musa As-Silawi, 21, when he was near the separation fence, north of BeitLahyia town in North Gaza district.
According to Al Mezan's field investigations, the troops invaded the area that is located near the separation fence to arrest As-Silawi.
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) took As-Silawi to Ashkelon prison.
The administration of the Israeli prison prevented Al Mezan's lawyer from visiting As-Silawi.
As-Silawi has a brother who had been detained by IOF east of Jabalia, in 2009.
Five of As-Silawi's uncles and cousins were killed by IOF in an Israeli attack on Al Maqdma mosque during 'Operation Cast Lead'.
