At app. 11:15pm on Thursday 18 March 2010, unknown persons detonated an explosive device in a pick-up Mitsubishi truck belonging to Mohammed Ibrahim Hussein Abu Shar, 40. Abu Shar works for the intervention and emergency police. His car was detonated while parked outside his house in the old slaughter street in the As-Salam neighborhood in Rafah town. As a result, the car was damaged. Police are still investigating the incident.
