At app. 17:00 on the 7th of May 2007, armed men opened fire at Mohammed Hamdan As Soufi, 19, and Mohammed Tawfiq Al Qahwaji, 19, while they were leaving Hamza Mosque in Tel Al Hawa, in southern Gaza City. The gunmen also threw an explosive device at the young men, injuring them with shrapnel to their bodies.
