On 15 May 2008, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights received a group of Tal As Sultan Elementary School students in the Center's office in Rafah.
The group included members of the School Parliament and teachers.
Attorney Mervat An Nahal met the group and briefed them on Al Mezan's mission, goals and work on the protection and promotion of human rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT).
The group also learned about the Center's publications.
An Nahal also addressed human rights and child rights issues, including the importance for all social institutions to protect these rights.
The meeting represents activities that Al Mezan conducts in UNRWA schools to raise awareness on human rights in general, and children rights in particular.
