At 5pm on Sunday, 26 August 2018, Israeli naval forces opened heavy fire at Palestinian fishermen sailing off the coast of west Khan Younis city within the Israeli-enforced restricted fishing zone. The fishermen had to stop their work and escape the sea in fear for their lives. No casualties or damages were reported.
