22 June 2018
Short Link:
At 3pm on Friday, 22 June 2018, thousands of Palestinian youth, women, and children joined the 13th Friday of the Great Return March demonstrations in east Khuzaa in east Khan Younis. The demonstrators, who held the Palestinian flag, were about 300 meters away from the fence between Israel and east Khan Younis when Israeli forces around the fence used live ammunition, plastic-coated steel bullets, and tear-gas canisters against these demonstrators. 20 Palestinians, including one child and one woman, were injured by live fire and directly hit by tear-gas canisters. The casualties received first aid at field-based clinics; then, they were taken to Naser, Algerian, and European Gaza hospitals. Tens of other demonstrators suffered from breathing difficulties resulted by inhaled tear-gas and they received the necessary treatment at field-based clinics.
