At 7:40am on Friday, 23 February 2018, Israeli naval forces opened fire at Palestinian fishermen sailing off the shore of Al Waha area to the northwest of Beit Lahia city in North Gaza governorate. The Israeli navy re-opened fire at 9:20am and again at 10:45am on the same day. Fishermen had to stop their work and escape the sea in fear. No casualties were reported.
