At 6:00a.m. on Monday 18 September 2017, Israeli naval forces opened fire at Palestinian fishermen in boats sailing in Al Waha area, western to Beit Lahia city in North Gaza. The forces detained two fishermen.
According to field reports, Israeli warships opened fire at a boat carrying two fishermen while they were half a mile away from the shores of Beit Lahia, near northern borders. The warships rounded the boat, and Israeli soldiers confiscated the boat and detained the two fishermen: Mohammed Adel Al-Sultan, 22, and Amro Adel Al-Sultan, 26, who are both residents of Beit Lahia.
