At approximately 8:30 am on Friday, 23 December 2016, Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats which were in the sea off of Beit Lahiya in North Gaza district. As a result, fishermen were terrified and abandoned their work and sailed to land immediately. No injuries or causalities were reported
