At approximately 14:00 on Sunday, 28 February 2016, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at farmers while they were planting watermelons in an agricultural field near the landfill east of Al Fokhari village, east of Khan Younis - the field is located roughly 800 meters from the border fence. As a result, Ramah Ismail Jarad Al Farra, a 26 year old farmer, sustained a bullet wound in his right leg. His fellow farmers rushed him to Gaza European Hospital where he got treatment for his exit wound below his right knee. Medical sources described his injury as moderate.
