Rezeq from the Al Shaoot area in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip “was renowned as the most beautiful child in the Gaza Strip. His photo was used as a profile photo for so many Facebook users,” his cousin Mohamed said. He spent most of his time with his grandmother and he died in her arms.
On 2 August 2014, the Abu Taha family’s house was bombarded by an Israeli warplane, without prior warning. The house was completely destroyed. Four members of the family were killed instantly, including Rezeq. He was only ten months old.
