Seventeen-year-old Omar from Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was the first child of his parents. “He was the most beautiful present I ever received,” his mother said.
His ambition was to buy a plot of agricultural land to plant it and to earn some money to help his family. He took care of all of the repairs and household tasks. He was raising one pigeon, who his mother is now taking care of. He would give his share of fruit to his grandmother.
On 18 July 2014, after having the Ramadan breakfast, ‘Al Eftar’, he went to visit his uncles. An Israeli missile struck the place where they were. Many people were killed including Omar.
