15-year-old Mohammed Rajaa Hundum from Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was a very kind boy. He always performed all of his daily prayers. “He was very close to my father and spent most of his time by his side,” says his surviving sister, Rola. She is 18.
At approximately 3:00 pm on Sunday, 20 July 2014, Israeli tanks started firing artillery shells at residential homes near the cemetery in Al Salam neighborhood in the east of Rafah. As a result, Mohammed was killed. His mother, Rajaa, 43, and his father, were injured. They were in their home.
