Twelve-year-old Yousif from the Al Shaoot area in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was a very naughty and clever child. He studied in a private school. He had previously lived with his family in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. They came back to Palestine a year ago. Yousif and his brother were very happy and active children. “Yousif was an excellent student at school,” his cousin Mohamed says.
On 2 August 2014, the Abu Taha family’s house was bombarded by an Israeli warplane, without prior warning. The house was completely destroyed. Four members of the family were killed instantly, including Yousif.
