Name : Mohamed Mustafa Zo'rob
Date of birth: 5 October 2002.
Date of death: 2 August 2014
12-year-old Mohamed Mustafa Zo'rob from Rafah was a well-behaved and playful child. He liked playing football. Mohamed said he hoped to study the maintenance of air-conditioning when he grew up.
During the Israeli military offence, Mohamed’s family moved to his grandfather’s house, which they thought would be safer. On 2 August 2014, during a humanitarian ceasefire in which civilians were supposed to be able to move around safely, his mother decided to take the family back to their home. They stopped at her sister’s place on the way. While they were at her sister’s and still during the declared ceasefire, the house was targeted by an Israeli warplane. It was completely destroyed in the attack and 17 people, including Mohamed, were killed. “There is nothing left to lose after losing them,” said Mohamed’s father.
