Short Link:
Name: Khalid Ra’fat Oda Zo'rob
Date of birth: 8 September 2005
Date of death: 1 August 2014
Eight-year-old Khalid from Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip had a mixed personality; sometimes calm, other times very nervous. He liked to play with sand. He spent long hours playing computer games and watching TV. “His behaviors were very childish. He used to become very happy when somebody bought him clothes, toys or sweets,” his surviving sister said.
On 1 August 2014, Israeli warplanes launched a missile at the Zo’rob family’s house, completely destroyed it with Khalid and 19 members of his family inside. Khalid’s sister woke up to find herself under the rubble. She kept moving, and slowly found her way out. Khalid was killed in the attack, along with fifteen members of his family.
