Ibrahim from Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip liked to play with sand and he liked to plant trees. He liked to ride bicycles. He helped his father raise birds and animals, feeding and taking care of them. His ambition was to be a successful trader.
“He liked singing. Although he was shy with strangers, he was sociable with his relatives,” his mom says.
On 1 August 2014, Ibrahim was in his yard along with other members of his family. An Israeli warplane directly targeted the house, without warning. Seven people were immediately killed including Ibrahim at the age of five.
