17-year-old Husam Anwar Abu Nqera from Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was a responsible boy. He acted like an adult. He was well-behaved and did everything he was told by his parents. He did very well in school. “I have four children; two of them were born with disability. Mohammed was responsible. He helped me a lot. He was very mature for his age. He took care of both of his brothers that have disability,” says his father.
At approximately 6:00 pm on Saturday, 2 August 2014, an Israeli drone fired a missile at a group of people who were near Abu Yousif Al Najjar Hospital. As a result, four people were killed including Husam.
