Date of birth: 9 December 2009
Date of death: 29 July 2014
Four-year-old Abdullah from the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip had a strong personality with a rebellious character. He would play with other children, but he was always the leader. His ambition was to go to kindergarten. He could have been a successful teacher or a military officer in the future. "He was very close to me, and we used to have good times together," his father Nedal said.
On 29 July 2014, an Israeli warplane fired missiles at Abdullah Ab Zeid’s three-story house, without any prior warning. The house was completely destroyed while all of its inhabitants were inside.
