Short Link:
Name: Jana Ahmed Fayez Breikah
Date of Birth: 1 January 2011
Date of Death: 29 July 2014
Three-year-old Jana from Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip was said to be intelligent and always holding a pen and notebook, trying to write and draw. Jana pronounced her first words when she was very little, which was an indication that she would be a clever girl. “She asked her father if she could go to kindergarten, but her mother postponed her enrollment because she was too young,” said her aunt Hanan, 35.
Four families, including the Breikah family, were living in the Al Dali building in Khan Younis when it was attacked by Israeli forces. The building was attacked without warning and was completely destroyed. Thirty-five people were killed, including Jana.
