Name: Ahmed Tawfiq Ahmed Abu Jame’e
Date of birth: 20 October 2003
Date of Death: 20 July 2014
Ten-year old Ahmed from Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip was a naughty and mischievous boy. He liked to go out to the street and hang out; he did not like to stay at home. “Sometimes I would not allow him to go out, but he would wait and find the time to leave without me knowing,” his uncle said. He liked to argue and to be with the other young boys. He also liked to play with and feed the cats.
On 20 July 2014, just before sunset, the Abu Jamee’s three-story house was bombarded with missiles by Israeli forces. There was no prior warning given. “It was a real massacre; twenty-six people were killed. Three people were injured and survived,” his uncle added.
