Eleven-year-old Tareq from Hekr Al Jame'e, Deir Al Balah in the middle of the Gaza Strip was an obedient and beloved child. He always helped his older neighbors and he helped his father raise their sheep. He was close to his grandmother and used to watch TV with her. Tareq loved playing football.
On 3 August 2014, a group of civilians were on the street when an Israeli warplane fired a missile, striking the group, without warning. Tareq was killed on the spot. Twelve others were seriously injured. "I miss him so much. I see him everywhere,” his grandmother says.
