Twelve-year-old Qusay from Gaza City was a strong, daring, and courageous child. He was kind and had a good heart. He used to take very good care of his looks; he was very elegant. He liked to make and fly kites. “Qusay was affected by the death of his father. He needed my help in his studies at school,” said his mother.
On 12 July 2014, two missiles were launched by Israeli warplanes at the Al Battesh’s house. No warning was given. The house was completely destroyed. Twenty people were killed on the spot, including Qusay. All of the victims were buried next to their destroyed house. Seven other people were seriously injured.
