Date of death: 20 July 2014
Eleven-year-old Nermin from Gaza City was a calm, shy and sociable child. She liked to play with her friends. She used to help her mother around the house because she wanted to learn everything from her mother. Her brother remembers many stories about her that highlight her distinct and strong personality. Nermin liked toys and gifts and so her brother promised to bring her a present if she did well in her school exams. "Her ambition was to be a teacher or a doctor but our mother convinced her to become a doctor," said her brother.
At around 10:30 am on 21 July 2014, an Israeli warplane launched a missile targeting Nermin's house. The house was destroyed. Six people including Nermin, her father, mother, and three siblings were killed instantly.
