Name: Mansour Rami Mansour Hajaj
Date of birth: 16 July 2005
Date of death: 28 July 2014
Nine-year-old Mansour from Al Shate'e refugee camp in Gaza City was a prudent and smart child. He was an outstanding student at school. His ambition was to be a carpenter like his father and he was very obedient to his parents. “His father bought him new clothes for Eid; and Mansour wanted to spend the night wearing the outfit,” said his mother.
As Mansour lived in the overcrowded Al-Shati’ refugee camp, he and his friends often played outside in the street. On 28 July 2014, the first day of Eid, Mansour and his friends were playing in the street when they were attacked by an Israeli warplane without warning. Ten children were killed in the attack including Mansour.
