Date of birth: 19 December 2010
Date of death: 30 July 2014
Three-year-old Lama from Gaza City “used to spend her time with her cousin, Tala; they were like one soul,” said her grandmother.. She was the first child of her parents. She was anxious to go to kindergarten, and asked her mother if she could not go. She liked to take care of her looks and her hair style. "She told her mother that she wanted a brother so that she could name him Abdelkarim just like Tala's brother," said her grandmother while crying.
On 30 July 2014, the Al Khalili family evacuated their home due to intense Israeli shelling against civilian houses in the neighborhood. They waited in the yard for a car. Without warning, an Israeli drone targeted them with a missile. Eight people were killed, including Lama.
