Date of birth: 24 August 2008
Date of death: 20 July 2014
Five-year-old Kenan from Gaza City was an energetic boy. He liked to play with his brother Saji. He was in first grade. He was very smart and his family is said to be well educated. “His uncle Mohamed was documenting most of their happy times in photos and videos. But the Israeli missiles worked faster in killing the childhood dreams,” said his father.
On 20 July 2014, three Israeli missiles hit the Al Hallaq family’s apartment on the second floor of the Cordoba building in the Remal neighborhood in the center of Gaza City. No warning was given. Seven members of Al Hallaq family were instantly killed, including Kenan, and four members of the Ammar family were also killed in the attack.
