Nine-year-old Ismail from Al Shate’e refugee camp in Gaza City was killed while he was playing football with a group of the Baker family children on Gaza’s beach. They were targeted by Israeli forces in three consequtive attacks. Four of the kids were immediately killed, including Ismail. Another was seriously injured.
Ismail left school at a young age to support his family financially. He sold tea and coffee. His brothers were unwell and their house was in poor condition.
“I heard the sound of a nearby explosion and I went to the hospital and found out that my son was killed, and I was in a hysterical state,” his mother said.
