Ibrahim Yaser Omar from Gaza City was killed by Israeli forces at the age of three. Ibrahim was the youngest of four siblings. He suffered from seizures, which had affected his development, and resulted in learning disabilities as well. Ibrahim contracted meningitis approximately a month before he was killed and had been taken to the intensive care unit at Al Durra hospital for treatment. On 24 July 2014, the hospital was attacked by an Israeli forces. Ibrahim sustained a shrapnel injury in the head and died as a result of his injury. “Before his illness, he used to hug me tightly. I felt as if it would be his last hug,” said his mother.
