Eight-year-old Eman from Gaza City was an active and smart child. She had a sweet voice and liked to sing children’s songs. She wanted to be a singer when she grew up. She also loved drawing. Eman liked to gather other children around her and then play teacher. She also took very good care of her looks and she kissed her father all the time. "She had asked me to teach her how to cook so that she could cook for her children in the future," said her mother.
The Am'mar family had been living in the Cordoba residential building just beneath the Al Hallaq family's apartment when on 20 July 2014 the Al Hallaq family was attacked by Israeli forces. Three missiles struck the apartment without warning. Eleven people were killed instantly, including Eman. Many others were seriously injured.
