Six-year-old Emad from the Al Toffah neighborhood in the east of Gaza City was an innocent, sensitive and smart child. He was an excellent student at school. He was very close to his mother and used to hug and kiss her every time he arrived back home. He loved playing computer games and his ambition was to be a doctor. “Before he died he asked me to buy him a computer, but I could not afford to buy it for him,” said his mother.
Israeli forces intensified shelling against the Al Toffah neighborhood on 18 July 2014. At 8:30 pm nn Israeli shell directly struck Hamed Olwan’s house. There was no warning given. Emad and his brother Qasem (3) were killed instantly.
