Name: Deema Adel Abdullah Isleem
Date of birth: 4 June 2012
Date of death: 20 July 2014
Two-year-old Deema from Gaza City was a calm child. She liked to play with her toys and she had a yellow toy bear that she hugged while sleeping. "My ambition for Deema was to be a doctor or a journalist," said her mother.
On 20 July 2014, during an intense and violent Israeli bombardment against civilian houses, Deema's father decided to evacuate. He picked up Deema and headed out of the house. A neighboring house was bombarded. Shrapnel hit both Deeama and her father. Deema's head was divided into two parts and she died instantly. "We still miss her so much," said her mother.
