Dana from Gaza City was the first child for her parents and the first grandchild for her family. She was the source of joy and happiness for them. She was a joyful and smiley child. She liked to watch birds. “She used to cry too much during the war,” said her uncle Emad (26).
At 10:30 am on 20 July 2014, the Dhaher family's house was targeted with an Israeli missile without prior warning. The house was destroyed. Six people were killed instantly, including Dana at the age of one year. Two others were seriously injured.
