4-year-old Asem Khalil Ammar from Gaza was City described by his family as a lovely little boy. He couldn’t wait to start kindergarten in September and had asked his mother to get a school bag for him. He was very close to his father and loved for his father to tell him bedtime stories.
On 20 July 2014, when Asem and his family were asleep, an Israeli warplane attacked their home. Asem and 10 others were killed in the attack.
“I still can’t cope. I’m really shocked. I lost three of my children. I will always remember them,” says his father.
