Four-year-old Sameeh from Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip was a very calm, smart and curious child. He was dreaming of the day when he would take his school bag to kindergarten. "He used to ask many questions,” his father said.
On 20 July 2014, it was the first day of the Eid holiday. Sameeh put on his new clothes to celebrate. He was playing with his toy in the yard. A nearby Israeli bombardment took place and shrapnel hit his small body. He was immediately killed. “Sameeh’s death left a deep grief in my heart,” his father added.
