Nine-year-old Hussein from Beit Hanoun in the north of the Gaza Strip was a very spoilt child. His father had just bought him an educational toy to play educational games. He was an outstanding student. He was a very active boy. He was mischievous and sometimes fabricated problems to get what he wanted.
During the war, Hussein and his family remained in their house. Israeli forces raided their house and stayed with them for seven days. The men were arrested. After the Israeli soldiers left the house, the house was bombarded with the women and children inside. Their bodies were found days later beneath the rubble, according to his uncle Ali, 35.
